What’s new in Version 6.5

General

• Files transfer from and to Local of the air is with compression;
• The algorithm for data transfer between modules is rewritten – when it is possible they connect directly to each other, when it is not - via DBAdmin proxy;

MediaManager

• History of the item in DATA;
• Group deletion of items;
• Nationality now is in separate index, not as sub-index of artists;
• Item replacement in the selections;
• Entirely new algorithm for inserting ads and classifying them by votes and branches;
• New algorithm for calculating the rotation of the items in the selection;
• Rotation types:
  • Strict – as until now, from all appropriate items for the position, it is selected that one which has been used most long ago;
  • Non-strict - from all appropriate items for the position, WHICH HAVE THE SAME ROTATION RATIO, it is random selected one of them;
• Note: when switching over from one kind of rotation to another, the rotation ratios are reset, because their calculation algorithms are different.;

Ads

• Playlists for regions are saved in the main air and regional players read them from there;
• Ad details are exported into a separate dialogue;
• Tariffs;
• Entirely new algorithm for inserting ads in the menu PLAYLISTS and classifying them by votes and branches;

Reports

• Report "ADS FOR PERIOD" has a filter according to the contract;
• Report "SONGS FOR PERIOD" is renamed "ITEMS FOR PERIOD" and it works not only for songs, but also for the other item types;
• All reports have been rewritten in accordance with new data that are maintained by the system;

On-air

• New features for cross fade from one hour to another: exact hour fade, delayed fade and no fade;

Settings

• Additional options are added for system settings (restrictions during ad blocks, number of ad blocks in hours, etc.);

What’s new in Version 6.2

General

• Database is transferred from Paradox to Firebird SQL Server 1.5.x;
• All modules are entirely rewritten with improved design and functionally;
• All modules (except DBAdmin) may be run under accounts with the rights of ordinary user;
• RA Daemon and DB Admin can work both as applications and as services;
• Automatic archive of database with option for saving the archive on several alretnative places;
• Replication of the air – allows supporting a spare air computer with up-to-date information, which may be used within maximum short terms if any problem with the main air occurs;
• 3 working modes of the system as a whole:
  • Old method – uses the existing tables for mixes;
  • New method – a mix point is used which is set for each item as a position from where the next item should begin;
  • Mixed mode – if there is any mix point specified for the current item, then it is played, but if not – the tables for mixing are used;

On-air

• It can play a mix of 3 items;
• The quick access buttons can be arranged according to the user’s preferences;
• A different color can be set for each quick access button;
• The air settings are moved to a module Settings;
• Filters - Automatic Level Control and Compressor/Limiter;

Audio Manager + Selector

• Modules Audio Manager and Selector are now integrated in one general module. The organization of the program operation is completely modified;

  Ads

• A wizard to add, delete or edit ads and contracts;
• The manual arrangement of ads is made easier;

Reports

• All reports are modified. The output data for each report can be printed or saved in various different file formats (HTML, Excel, RTF, TXT and others);

Settings

• All settings for all modules are concentrated here, so that ensures a uniform working mode for each module from each working position;

What’s new in Version 6.1

General

• The way of the software registration is completely changed. The entire process now runs as a wizard and it is executed online;
• Possibility to indicate beginning and end of the performance in database. It won’t be necessary to modify the songs anymore for removing the silence in their beginning and/or their end;
• 3 positions for Voiceover;

Player

• Some small visual changes in the design of the screen;
• Option for search;
• Automatic control of the signal level;
• Automatic control of RDS (only RDS of Deva Broadcast for now);
• Bugs fix in the algorithm for mixing (from version 6.0). The annoying noise during the mix won’t appear anymore;

Manager

• A series of visual corrections related to database modifications;
• Improved possibility for preview of the mix between songs – now there are 3 graphic scales;
• Possibility for extracting and sending service information via e-mail to the program developers;
• The quick access buttons control is moved to the on-air module;
• Possibility for correction and preliminary programming of the mix between all types of items;

Ads

• Possibility for adding ads to archive is included, which main purpose is to move all old ads in a separate database and to accelerate the working process;

Reports

• New report – ads for a period. It allows you to prepare a report for all ads that have been broadcasted during a specified period of time;

News

• Small visual corrections;
• The font of the text is changed for better perspicuity;
• The missing menu (from version 6.0) for copy and paste text is added;
