RA System
is a software package for automation of the work in radio and TV stations. It consists of the following modules:
Air / Audio / Video Player
- Real time operation;
- Pre-fade listening (PFL);
- Listening and correcting the mix between on-air broadcasts;
- Automatic playback of "marking" jingles or signals over songs;
- Definitions of multiple quick-access buttons and their real time playback;
- Displays text information from module “News”;
- Operation with preliminarily created program blocks from module “MediaManager”;
- Operation with program schemes created by sub-module “Selector”;
- Allows remote administration;
- Registration of every item that has been broadcasted on-air;
It is used for playback of preliminarily registered sound files with a standard sound card. In automatic mode, it loads and executes program blocks and playlists created by the module
“MediaManager”.
In manual mode, the radio DJ arranges the playlist that will be played by himself. In order to reach better flexibility, the radio DJ is allowed to make corrections at any time by inserting pauses and adding or cutting items in the active playlist.
Another characteristic feature is the support of 2 soundcards. In this case, the radio DJ is able to listen to every item from the current playlist during the program broadcasting, but also to listen and correct mixes between items.
MediaManager
- Registration of sound files and description of their parameters;
- Creation of program blocks for on-air broadcasting with unlimited duration;
- Possibility for preliminary programming of mixes between items in the blocks;
- Two different types of testing the validity of sound files (allows detection of invalid or damaged sound files). Files test does not affect the on-air operation;
- Preview of all items that have been real broadcasted on-air and generating reports and statistics;
- Data package processing (for easier re-categorization of multiple playbacks during the creation of backup copies for many sound files from the air, etc.);
- Search a playback according to multiple parameters;
- Creation of schemes (templates) for multiple use;
- Automatic filling of preliminarily created schemes;
It provides basic functional options for registration, management and administration of the air and database. Through this module an on-air performance can be registered, all data for it can be corrected, separate items or a group of items can be deleted or banned, ensures obtaining a detailed information about all items real broadcasted by the air module, enables to view and correct the main indexes of the system.
Sub-module
“Selector”
is entirely focused on automation the music selection and on generating playlists. With its help, the user has the opportunity in advance by few mouse clicks, just for a few minutes to generate a complete playlist, including music and ads for the next 24 hours or more. The music selection is based on preliminarily prepared templates, in which needed parameters of the music for the respective hour have been set. There is no limitation to the number of templates. The user has full opportunity for every day and every hour to use the same template or templates with different structure. During the music selection, the system considers various factors, some of which may be the frequency of broadcasting of each item, its type, parameters, applied restrictions to it and many others. The prepared and filled-in templates are very dynamic. The user is free to make new changes in the items regarding each specific case, to check and fix the modes of mixing the songs, as well as to add selected by him fixed items.
Tune
- Description of the users, authorized to operate with the system and setting their access rights;
- Remote administration of the Air;
- Setting times for mixing and mix types;
- Configuring color schemes;
Through this module, the system administrator can configure all the necessary global parameters, required for the system’s normal operation. It allows management of the users’ database, their access rights, configuring color schemes for different types of items, as well as defining the mixes between the items.
Adv
- Entering commercial contracts for broadcasting, description of the relevant ads to the contracts and broadcasting schemes;
- Statistics for the periods of broadcasting the ads and the occupied on-air time;
- Automatic and manual generation of ad playlists;
- Catalogue with the advertisers;
- Automatic and manual check -up of the ads expiration term;
This module is created mainly for management of the ads in the system. With its help, the user is able to describe only once the way of broadcasting each ad and then it will be automatically scheduled in a playlist, where it is necessary. The description may be done in two very easy ways, depending on that whether there is any periodic dependence in the broadcasting schedule or not. Besides the description of dates and hours, many other parameters are supported for each ad, such as voice of the ads, branch, commercial block, type, etc., for achieving maximum efficiency during broadcasting and preventing consecutive broadcasting of ads with similar parameters.
The module allows one ad to include one or more commercial spots. Another special feature is the option one ad to include not only commercial spots, but also undefined items of different types. In this way, it is ensured an opportunity to each ad to attach song, signal or any other type of item, the same as when using the sub-module selector this item will be different at each broadcasting of the ad.
News Room (not supported)
- Entering text information that will be read on-air for any day or hour;
- Automatic sending of already entered information to the on-air program;
- Automatic receiving of information or files via e-mail;
- Sending information as an e-mail;
This module is entirely created for use of the news team. It allows quick and easy description of news and emissions, sending them on-air with only one click; automatic synchronization between several such modules, which are operating in the network.
It allows tracing an e-mail address for receiving news sent via Internet, but also provides sending news to e-mail inbox with single operation.
Reports
- Preparing certificates for broadcasted commercial spots;
- Report for the used commercial time during one month;
- Report for the broadcasted songs during a specified period of time;
- Songs rating per one week, month or year;
- Shows statistical data about the commercial time sold in advance (up to 1 year ahead);
This module gives an opportunity for more detailed analysis of all the information related to everything that has been broadcast on air. With its help, the user is able to generate a certificate for the current ad broadcastings with only a few clicks, to rate the most played music per one week, month or year, to generate a complete list of broadcasted music in several different formats, to get statistical data for the commercial time sold in advance up to 1 year ahead, to receive average data for the cost of 1 minute commercial time, as well as many others statistical data and system indicators.
Archive Server
- Provides centralized data and music backup;
- Could work as hot archive server;
This module gives a possibility for centralized archive of music and database for all radios in the organization (if more than one). The procedure is completely automatic. The server can also work as hot archive, which allows removing items from the air temporarily and sending them into archive without losing data. After that, if necessary, these items could be restored to the air and the system could use them again.
Adv Player
- Provides preview of regional ads;
- Allows support of several regions on a single computer;
- Could be controlled via LAN or via DTMF* codes, inserted into jingles or signals;
*It requires additional hardware module.
RA System TOOLS
- Monitor –
it gives a possibility for tracking one or more airs and publishing information about what is playing at the moment in:
- File - 3 different formats (for publishing over the web);
- FTP - 3 different formats (for publishing over the web);
- Shoutcast and Icecast2 servers;
- RDS – via COM port or over the Internet via Lan2Com;
- RA Recorder – an automatic system for air monitoring. It allows a thorough record of everything that is captured by the sound card on its audio input in several different sound formats;

Ways of payment:
Parallel Ltd. offers to its clients two ways of payment by which they could pay for the right to use the software package RA System:
- One-off payment. The license for using RA System,
version launched for sale at the moment of signing the agreement
is paid once.
The payment may be done for all modules or only for some of them. If you choose this option, the following details should be considered:
- 30% of the current price of the package is paid for upgrade to a newer version. It is not possible to upgrade a single module;
- The legal owners of competitive products shall pay 50% of the price of the ordered modules;
- The warranty support is 6 months from the installation date;
- Monthly subscription.
The license for using the full software module s package is granted against payment of a minimal monthly fee. In this case, you will always obtain the latest and updated versions without any additional payment and also we will provide you complete warranty support for the whole period while you are using our software.
Warranty support:
Warranty support provides free of charges the following:
- Fixing all software errors in the system modules, which the client has found during the maintenance period, within 10 working days;
- Consultations by phone, e-mail or other ways of communication at any time of the day;
Warranty support does not include:
- Installation and setup of the operating system and hardware components of the computers, on which the system modules are used;
- Fixing bugs and errors due to the special features of the operating system or to the usage of specific hardware;
- Developing the software for meeting the client’s specific needs. This instance is a subject of separate agreement;
- Troubleshoot problems due to the irregular operation of the client's side;
- Troubleshoot problems caused of hardware defects or because the client has not taken good enough care of the software and the data;
Trial version:
Parallel Ltd offers to its clients the opportunity to try all RA System modules for a period of 30 calendar days, so they could get acquainted with its capabilities and features. When this period expired, the client should remove the RA System modules from his computers or he should choose one of the two ways of payment for the license to continue using the system.
